Turks and Caicos Airports

Considering the islands' size and population, the number of Turks and Caicos airports currently in regular use is quite impressive. Every inhabited island, including tiny Pine and Parrot Cays, has an airstrip of its own, despite being within a relatively short distance from one another by boat. Only one of those Turks and Caicos airports, however, receives any international traffic at all: Providenciales International Airport, a safe and modern facility located on that island's southern coast. Several major international carriers have service to Provo at least once a week, including British Airways, Air Canada, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines. Flying time from the northeastern cities like New York and Toronto to Providenciales averages about four hours. From there, travelers can reach the other Turks and Caicos airports on domestic flights offered by Turks and Caicos Airways or SkyKing. Flights between the two main Turks and Caicos airports - Providenciales and Grand Turk International, is frequent and so convenient that business people use it several times a week.
